Qld calls on new filmmakers

Presented by the Pacific Film and Television Commission, the annual Warner Roadshow Studios Queensland New Filmmakers Awards is now welcoming entries.
The Awards are the biggest industry sponsored new filmmaker competition in the country, recognising and encouraging the achievements of emerging Queensland filmmakers.
 
The QNFA competition is open for entries and will accept short films from Secondary Student Productions, Tertiary Student Productions and Independent filmmakers aged 30 years and under.
 
Films submitted to QNFA are judged on creativity, originality and technical competence, with a selection of finalists films screened at the Public Screening event on Saturday 2nd August at the Regent Cinema.
 
Sponsored prizes and awards are then presented to individuals for various craft categories as well as overall awards, at the QNFA Awards Presentation Ceremony Gala event on Saturday 9th August at the Tivoli Theatre.
