More free movie screenings in January

Sydney Olympic Park's popular Movies by the Boulevard series will return for its fifteenth year of free cinema under the stars in January.

Held at the Cathy Freeman Park (opposite ANZ Stadium) on Olympic Boulevard, the screenings will be held on Wednesday-Sunday evenings from January 2-3, 6-10 and 13-17.

With a program of family-friendly films spanning a variety of genres, Movies by the Boulevard will include kids' activities from 6pm on selected event nights before movies start on the big screen from 8.30.

Unlike other outdoor cinema events, Movies by the Boulevard attendees will be welcome to take packed picnics as well as cushions, rugs or low chairs to the event, which is presented by Sydney Olympic Park Authority.

Movies by the Boulevard has entertained hundreds of thousands of Sydneysiders since its inaugural season and more than 30,000 people are expected to attend the 2016 series.The program will be released soon.
