Nikon launches first AF-P lenses from NIKKOR

Nikon Australia is pleased to announce the launch of two new NIKKOR 18-55mm lenses, AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR and AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G, the first AF-P lenses for Nikon’s DSLR cameras.

The two latest additions to the NIKKOR range offer compelling autofocus performance, advanced optical elements and excellent agility. Enjoy uninterrupted moments with fast, quiet autofocusing from the compact AF-P lenses and remember memories in clarity with the assistance of refined lens optical performance and Vibration Reduction (VR) mechanism.*

Key features:

·         Covering a normal zoom range of 18-55mm focal length**, both lenses provide a natural viewpoint of getting close to a subject or capturing landscape compositions

·         Unobtrusive, discreet and fast, the lenses utilise stepping motors to drive autofocus performance

·         Clarity of each shot is enhanced with the utilisation of aspherical lens elements that effectively suppress various types of aberrations

·         A VR mechanism engineered with the AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR gives a camera shake compensation equivalent to a shutter speed effect of 4.0 stops*** faster to help further minimise any effects from sudden external movements

·         Light and compact, both lenses are a breeze to carry on travels, and the retractable barrels fitted into each lens’ compact build aid in keeping the lenses portable and ready for any photography adventure
