Madman launches DocPlay

Madman Entertainment’s documentary VOD platform DocPlay has launched in Australia and New Zealand.

DocPlay is available as a monthly premium subscription service for $6.95. A rotating selection of the catalogue is also available to stream free.

The service currently features over 130 documentary films, and thanks to recent Screen Australia Enterprise funding, over 20 of those titles are Australian with more to be added regularly.

DocPlay is currently available via the website, on iOS, and on Android. Google Chromecast and Apple AirPlay are also supported. Further platforms will be available in 2017.

Docplay is Madman’s second proprietary VOD service – it launched AnimeLab in 2014.

  1. Just signed up.

this is LITERALLY a piece of shit service.

Why would I pay $6.95 a month for a service that comes up with ZERO results when I search for something as EPIC as “World War One”?

I mean ffs, possibly one of the most documented periods in history on television, EVER, and zero hits?

Save your money until they sort their shit out.

    Ugh.
