John Ridley’s Golden Globe nominated series American Crime has been renewed for a third season.
This follows an announcement overnight by ABC Studios.
The third season will premiere exclusively on Presto later this year, express from the US.
Like its two predecessors, season three will focus on a new crime in a new setting, with cast announcements and plot details to be revealed soon.
One of the most critically praised drama series’ on US broadcast television, American Crime ended its second season on Presto on March 10, with all episodes made available shortly after their US broadcast.
American Crime was nominated for 10 Emmy Awards, winning best supporting actress in a series (Regina King). John Ridley, an Academy Award winner for best screenplay for 12 Years a Slave, will again serve as executive producer with Michael J. McDonald. The series is produced by ABC Studios.
