Kim Dalton, the Director of Television at the ABC, will outline his vision of the marriage between traditional TV and the emerging digital worlds at the up-coming X|Media|Lab Conference in Melbourne.

X|Media|Lab is famous for the early introduction of digital media ideas into Australia, including wikipedia, and current.tv. This year X|Media|Lab will introduce the Gore Vidal sponsored internet news channel therealnews, social networking phenomenon Bebo, and film director Shekhar Kapur.
Last year, the ABC submitted four of its star TV programs to the digital evaluation process at the Lab: Rage, The Chaser, JTV, and The New Inventors. Other project ideas tested in the Lab included Lonely Planet and Zuji.com; and this year project ideas from Telstra, Sensis, Fairfax Digital, and the ABC, will also participate.
