Press release from AMPR
Ambra Corporation – one of Australia’s largest importers of women’s hosiery, seamfree bodywear and underwear – has launched a sexy and provocative short film inspired by the vampire phenomenon.
The short film, which promotes AMBRA’s ‘Killer Figure’ shapewear range, is a first for the brand, known for its attention grabbing and often controversial print advertising. The two minute film will be launched online through a dedicated ‘Killer Figure’ micro-site and filtered through social media sites including YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and word-of-mouth.
With vampirism back in vogue, escalated by the cult status of Stephanie Meyer’s ‘Twilight’ series, TV series ‘True Blood’ and ‘The Vampire Diaries’, it was only fitting to centre the short film, aptly titled ‘Knock them Dead in Killer Figure’, around a seductive vampire.
AMBRA‘s Public Relations agency, Ann Morrison PR (AMPR) is driving the campaign and has enlisted the expertise of Shoot Films, headed by Director Damian McLindon and Producer Ariel Parisi, to conceptualise and produce the short film.
Shoot Films is a Melbourne based production house, which has produced music video clips, successful advertising campaigns and award winning films that have screened nationally and internationally. Shoot Films has recently been nominated for an AFI Award for its short film ‘Billy’.
The award winning crew behind the film includes Director of Photography Simon Ozolins (ARIA Award for Best Video ‘We are the People’ by Empire of the Sun, ‘Dugong’, ‘Swimming to the Boy’), Editor Ben Joss (‘The Pacific’ (US), ‘Matching Jack’ and the soon to be released ‘Red Hill’) and Production Designer Leanne Caruana (‘Van Diemen’s Land’).
AMBRA Brand Manager, Tim Goodfellow says the company is excited about the short film and entering the world of online advertising.
“This is definitely a first for our brand. We are extremely impressed with the finished product which has all the workings of a great short film – it is humorous, very sexy, provocative and has impact”.
The ‘Knock them Dead in Killer Figure’ film stars former Channel Nine Kids WB host and stunning model Georgia Sinclair. This role will be sure elevate her into the limelight as a sexy screen siren.
‘Knock them Dead in Killer Figure’ will be released on Thursday 12th November, a week before ‘New Moon’ premiere’s in Australia, which AMBRA hopes will give Twilight fans a tantalising taste of some blood sucking entertainment.
If the short film is successful online, AMBRA will also look into advertising the short film in cinemas.
