The government has yet to decide on a local content quota model for streaming platforms less than one month before the legislation is set to begin, according to evidence presented at Senate estimates.
The government has previously said either a revenue or expenditure-based quota will apply to major streamers such as Netflix from July 1, but work is continuing according to Dr Stephen Arnott, deputy secretary, creative economy and the arts group.
