Aussie band launches online TV show

Press release from Agent Blank

Australian indie-folk band “The Chloe Hall Trio” are proving that talented musicians can remain independent and make a living with an innovative new behind-the-scenes series, “Show on the Road”.

In a world first, the weekly online series allows a global audience to interact, provide words of encouragement and get directly involved with the band as they tour Canada & Europe.

Forget fake, over-produced "documentaries" with established, plastic pop bands.

“Show on The Road” provides an authentic glimpse into the world of the Chloe Hall Trio on their 3 month tour of Canada and Europe. Follow their journey from big festivals to tiny dive bars, roaring crowds to chirping crickets, and from relative obscurity to fame, fortune and groupies (or so they hope!)

‘It’s a fresh and exciting way of staying in touch with fans and giving a fly-on-the-wall experience of what life is like on the road,’ said Chloe Hall.

Produced by digital storytelling agency, Agent Blank this is guerilla filmmaking in its purest form. The trio film the majority of the series themselves. There is no crew, very little gear, and low-to-no budget.

Utilising the latest web technologies, the show is edited back in Australia, and distributed across a broad range of online social and video networks.

Fans can watch in their browser or download episodes for free, talk to the band, send words of encouragement and even feature in the show.

One aim of the show is to encourage 10,000 people to listen to Chloe’s new album, over the next 3 months (which you can do free online).

More importantly, the goal of the show is to demonstrate that any band can make it outside the crumbling mainstream music industry on their own terms and with little more than ingenuity, hard work, and of course great songs.

This is a real independent band, trying to make a living from their music, bravely opening up their world to you, as they film the highs and lows they experience on tour. They’ll be moments of drama, comedy, joy, anger, and of course, music. Beautiful music.
