Production house Beyond International says its annual net profit profit will be up to 60 per cent higher in fiscal 2012 after a recent television series sale.
The company said net profit will be in the range of $8 to $8.5 million for the year ended June 30, or 50 to 60 per cent higher than the previous corresponding period. It had previously expected annual net profit to increase between 10 to 15 per cent compared to the prior financial year.
"The higher than anticipated full year profit increase is mainly attributable to a large sale of a completed television series produced and owned by the company in June 2012," the company said in a statement.
The company did not name the series. Beyond International produces programs such as Mythbusters, Hot Property, Taboo, and Behind Mansion Walls.
