Scott Hicks’ feature-length documentary “Glass: a portrait of Philip in twelve parts” has received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Sound Editing for Nonfiction Programming. The film was shown in prime-time on the US network PBS as part of the American Masters series.
Sound Supervisor, Stephen R Smith says the sound team is thrilled at the nomination. “Glass was a wonderful film to work on and deserves to be honoured. We are extremely pleased that the sound work has been recognised”. Sound mixer and music editor, Peter Smith said, “It’s fantastic for an Australian sound crew to get an Emmy nomination”.
Sound post production was completed in Adelaide through Tracks / Oasis Post. The sound team also includes sound editors Tom Heuzenroeder, Adrian Medhurst and Vanessa Carr, with studio producer Nicola Tate.
The PBS American Masters series has a total of four nominations for this year’s Primetime Emmy® Awards to be presented in September.
