Entertainment Personnel rebrands as EP

Press release from EP

After 12 years as the leading recruiter to the business end of the entertainment world last night Entertainment Personnel relaunched as EP. It’s likely that many people reading this will at some point have walked through Entertainment Personnel’s doors at Fox Studios, either as a client needing a quiet chat or as a candidate hoping to snare their next job in the industry.

Last night clients and supporters gathered in Surry Hills to celebrate Entertainment Personnel’s relaunch. Judging not only by the people in the room, but also by the number of industry names who feature in testimonials on EP’s new website, it was plain to see just how widely the company is considered part of the creative industries’ fabric.

“After years of helping our clients to grow their businesses it was high time to focus on ourselves”, says company founder and Managing Director, Patricia Powell-Hughes. “The Entertainment Personnel brand had served us well, but it no longer reflected everything that we do. This year we’re investing in two major areas –our EP Executive division, and creating a new Job Seekers self-entry portal – so it seemed a good time to bite the bullet and relaunch the whole company.”

From SBS and Hopscotch through to Movie Networks and SPAA, the range of glowing testimonials on the website is proof indeed that, in the tightly networked creative industries, reputation is everything.

Launching last night’s proceedings, International Promoter of the Year, Michael Chugg AM, in his inimitable Chuggy style said, “My testimonial on the website says it all. EP are legends. I wanted to say that they are f#cking legends, but Patricia overruled me. But it’s true! In our industry, trust and know-how are everything. EP have it in spades.”

Unveiling EP’s new services Powell-Hughes said, “We have always handled Executive assignments, but it is becoming an area of enormous growth for us. So we’ve redesigned and expanded our Executive Recruitment and Search offering, and hired an executive specialist to drive this side of the business further for us.

The feedback we receive from executive clients is that they value our complete understanding of how their businesses operate, so our Executive model is very much focused around partnership.

“We’re looking forward to opening up our candidate self-entry portal – EntryPoint – later next month. It will be launched and promoted in time for the summer holidays – a hugely busy time for us, as people head off to the beach to contemplate their careers and dream about their New Year resolutions! For professionals working in the creative industries, EntryPoint means they’ll have an opportunity to engage with recruitment specialists who genuinely speak their language and understand the work that they do. For our clients, it will mean that EP continues to be the recruiter of choice by job seekers, which in turn guarantees our access to the best people.”
