Flickerfest will wrap up its successful 17 venue tour tonight in Melbourne, after attracting record audiences around the country and visiting Bathurt and Noosa for the first time.
The Best of Melbourne Shorts programme includes some of the best local talent from the Melbourne film scene. The programme will premiere such films as The Tank, Lone Rider and Bloody Sweet Hit for the first time in Melbourne. The screenings will also be followed by an opening night party, attended by local filmmakers who will introduce their films. Screenings commence at 7pm.
The animation programme, screening on Friday 28th, is packed with gems of Australian talent including the Academy Award winning Leisure from 1976, some sing-along TVC trips down memory lane including Life Be In It and Louie the Fly, Adam Elliot’s quirky Cousin and the claymation horror thriller Ward 13. legendary Melbourne animator Anthony Lucas will be present to introduce the screening.
