Jameson IF Awards Sydney reveals more talent

Press Release from 6DC

As the countdown begins until the red carpet event, the 2011 Jameson IF Awards Sydney adds to their star studded line up. With big names such as Xavier Samuel and Koko from Red Dog already announced, they are excited to confirm Ronan Keating, Stephen Curry, Michael Dorman, Susie Porter, Matilda Brown, Morgana Davies, Ben Oxenbould, Gillian Armstrong, Catherine McClements, Leeanna Walsman and Kestie Morassi.

Ronan Keating is due to debut in his first feature film alongside a stellar cast of Australian screen stars including Pia Miranda and Magda Szubanski in Goddess. The Irish singer has made Australia his home away from home as one of the judges in X-Factor and will take to the IF Awards stage for the first time this month.

Stephen Curry is one of the most recognizable faces on Australian screen after starring in iconic films such as The Castle and more recently The Cup based on racing legend, Damien Oliver. A house hold name, Curry has won a Silver Logie Award for Most Outstanding Actor in a Drama and the ASTRA award for Most Outstanding Performance by an Actor for his role in The King.

The list of acting credits is impressive for Queensland bred actor Michael Dorman. Dorman has featured in 2010 IF Award nominated Australian films Daybreakers alongside Ethan Hawke, Sam Neill and Claudia Karvan and Triangle starring Melissa George and Liam Hemsworth. The actor starred as ‘Cook’ this year in the thriller Sleeping Beauty alongside fellow Australian Emily Browning and now stars in Wild Boys alongside fellow Jameson IF Awards Sydney presenters Daniel MacPherson, Jeremy Sims and Zoe Ventoura.

The Jameson IF Awards Sydney are also excited to have industry legend Gillian Armstrong as a presenter in 2011. Known for her directing prowess in iconic films including Little Women, Death Defying Acts and Charlotte Gray, she has worked with the likes of Cate Blanchett, Winona Ryder, Kirsten Dunst, Claire Danes, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Guy Pearce.

Nine-year-old Morgana Davies has already a number of film and TV credits under her belt for such a young actress. Having recently starred in an episode of the TV series Terra Nova, this young starlet has also featured in the film The Hunter alongside Willem Dafoe and The Tree alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg. Not one to shy away from a performance, she will be taking the stage in front of a large audience as she presents for the first time at the Jameson IF Awards Sydney.
