Jameson IF Awards welcomes make-up partner M.A.C Cosmetics

Press release from 2011 Jameson IF Awards

The 2011 Jameson IF Awards Sydney are proud to welcome back M.A.C Cosmetics as the make-up partner for the 13th annual awards, acknowledging their work and association within the Australian film industry.

Founded in 1984, M.A.C Cosmetics has always remained on the cutting-edge of makeup artistry by supporting professional makeup artists with their durable, versatile and creative cosmetic products. Their commitment to being a beauty leader has contributed to M.A.C supporting the Australian film and television industry for many years, often supplying the brand’s most up-to-date and sometimes customized products, colours and textures to makeup and props departments behind the scenes as style and fashion are being created in cinematic storytelling.

Last year M.A.C products were used on set on several nominated IF Awards films including Animal Kingdom, Mao’s Last Dancer and winner of the showtime movie channels IF Award for Best Feature Film, Tomorrow When the War Began. In the upcoming months, M.A.C will once again see their contribution brought to life on screen as two Australian films, The Cup, starring Stephen Curry and the late Bill Hunter and the Eye of the Storm, starring Charlotte Rampling, Geoffrey Rush and Judy Davis, are released in cinemas.

It is M.A.C Cosmetics’ commitment with Australian films that makes them the perfect makeup partner for the 2011 Jameson IF Awards Sydney.

“M.A.C was created to meet the needs of the professional makeup artist and our ongoing commitment to support the industry. We are excited to continue our involvement in supporting the 2011 Jameson IF Awards” Nicole Thompson, Senior Artist – M.A.C Cosmetics

The Jameson IF Awards Sydney encourage all Australians to support home-grown productions, contributing to a thriving industry and bringing our stories to the world through cinema, television and digital screens.
