Japanese Story director starts new Subdivision

New Australian comedy, Subdivision, written by and starring Ashley Bradman – from the Nova 106.9 breakfast crew – will commence principal photography on April 14, on location in Queensland’s Hervey Bay.

 
The film, from the director of Japanese Story and producer of Gettin’ Square, will star some of Australia’s finest and most loved actors including Gary Sweet, Steve Bisley, Bruce Spence, Brooke Satchwell and Kris McQuade.
 
Sue Brooks will direct the film from a screenplay by Ashley Bradman, Janice Bradman and Terry McCann. The producers are Trish Lake and Owen Johnston. Janice Bradman is co-producer and Richard Guardian and Terry McCann are executive producers. John Stokes is director of photography and Nick McCallum is production designer.

 

The film is financed by the Australian Film Finance Corporation and the Pacific Film and Television Commision, as well as private investment. Buena Vista/Disney will distribute the film in Australia and New Zealand; while Lightning Entertainment are handling worldwide sales.


Subdivision is written by Ashley Bradman, one of the breakfast crew on Nova 106.9 in Brisbane, and Footy Show regular. Nova are setting up a remote studio in Hervey Bay, so that Ashley can check in between takes.
