Animal Logic animation flick Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’hoole’s box office dollars for its second weekend were down 30 per cent.
The visually-stunning film, directed by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen), took $954,513 in its second weekend Down Under from 350 screens, giving it a screen average of $2727. It's now taken almost $3.5 million.
In its opening weekend it made $1.3 million but came second behind popular animated comedy Despicable Me.
In the US, it dropped 36.7 per cent, making $US6,888,019 across 3225, according to Box Office Mojo.
Australian/French co-production The Tree continued to do okay making $49,030 from 19 screens.
Tomorrow, When The War Began raked in another $474,501, however its 33 per cent down on last week ($711,841). It's now made $12,651,407 nation-wide.
Julia Roberts’ Eat Pray Love dominated the Aussie box office in its opening weekend, making $3,473,338 across 328 screens, giving it a healthy screen average of $10,589.
