George Miller's fourth Mad Max film, Fury Road, has reportedly ran out of fuel once again.
The sequel has been delayed for a second time and will not go into production until 2012, according to News Limited broadsheet The Australian.
The Australian said key crew were told earlier this week not to expect to return to pre-production until the second half of next year.
The Hollywood Stock Exchange predicted that the fourth installment would gross more than $US70 million in the US.
The $100 million-plus movie will be filmed in full 3D using revolutionary new technology developed by Dr Miller, which was exclusively broken by INSIDEFILM in July this year.
Dr Miller is currently working on another 3D feature – the animated feature Happy Feet 2 – which will be released next year.
