Bear Grylls led Man vs Wild further along the path of excellent audience figures for SBS again last week, with 640,000 viewers in metro and 323,000 in regional, according to figures from OzTAM. This is above the program’s average of 550,000 and 311,000 viewers respectively.
Top Gear topped the SBS ratings list with 738,000 viewers in the five metro areas and 323,000 in regional Australia.
A repeat episode of highly popular program Mythbusters attracted a metro audience of 408,000 viewers, 8 per cent above the program’s overall metro average for 2009.
Oz & James’ Big Wine Adventure is growing steadily in its Thursday 8pm timeslot, attracting 327,000 metro viewers and 145,000 regional. Teaching viniculture in the most entertaining way, the program has achieved an average 282,000 metro viewers to date.
SBS online is also attracting audiences with 268,000 unique browsers this week, up 34 per cent on last week and up 38 per cent on the same week in 2009.
Additionally, video views on SBS’s site rose to 595,000, which is 20 per cent up on last week and 29 per cent up on the same week last year.
