Moulin Rouge sets the scene for Fashion Avenue

Press release from J and E Publicity

The set pieces and props from Baz Luhrmann’s extravagant romantic musical provide a lavish surrounding for the Bondi fashion set.

The Fashion Avenue warehouse has just opened its doors showcasing Sydney’s best designers by events gurus Marc and Paul Dias from Black Book Agency and Greg Atkin from Your Special Events.

The Parisian theme is continued with the labels Lulu Loves Paris and danYelle shoes at Bondi’s latest fashion arrondissement.

Even though guests walk the red carpet and the style is decadent the prices are not.

danYelle Shoes range from $180 to $220 for the exclusive range and innovative designs.

Danyelle Dinunzio draws her inspiration from international settings and each shoe is named after its inspiration such as Triomphe for a feminine yet punk looking studded ankle boot.

Dinunzion prides herself on creating high quality shoes that run throughout the seasons with extra cushioning for comfort.

“I have a passion for fashion, I put everything together that I can’t find in the stores. My inspiration comes from travelling to Europe, such as designing thicker heals to avoid falling in between the cobblestones and the colours are inspired by European Summers.”

The danYelle collection uses genuine Italian and Argentinean leather. Each piece is embellished with her signature style such as origami, beading, plaited leather, feathers and studs.

Lulu loves Paris designer Louise Duffy is inspired by her trips to the capitals of Europe. She aims to inspire people to be creative in fashion. Her pieces range from day to evening women’s wear, jewellery, bags and even furniture. She also designs shoe label Ruby Tuesday Designs and sources pieces from Europe and Asia.

It feels like your entering a Parisian salon as you browse her stall, decorated with wrought iron dress mannequins, bird cages, candelabras, miniature Eiffel towers and Parisian tiles.

As you enter Lulu Loves Paris you will be greeted by Chatt the stores mascot a Chihuahua and Shih Tzu cross who is always dressed on trend.

Designers included among the labels own Virginie&Moi, Cop.Copine, Jessica and Shine at bargain prices ranging from $49 to $300.

Fashion Ave is open Tuesday to Sunday at Jacques Ave, Bondi Beach (just off Hall Street).
