Press release from Goalpost Pictures Australia
Co-starring in new Australian film ‘Closed For Winter’, internationally acclaimed performer Natalie Imbruglia plays ‘Elise’, a woman trying to come to terms with the disappearance of her sister.
Acting great Tony Martin is ‘John Mills’, a family friend trying to help solve the mystery. Both actors join fellow crew members – and the public – in the online discussion, ‘has your life ever been touched by a missing person?”
Video clips of the two stars have just been added to the CFW online Forum, alongside ‘Closed For Winter’ director James Bogle and others, all interviewed by filmmaker Megan Spencer. Members of the public are invited to view the clips and then comment.
Tim says, “This is quite a beautiful little film… Thankfully I’ve never lost anyone in this sort of way, so I can only imagine how difficult it must be.”
Larissa says, “It’s interesting to note that we live in a world where such an issue [‘missing persons’] lies somewhere in our minds. We are exposed to it via the media on a daily basis. Whether it be children, soldiers missing in action, adults, refugees…
Reflecting on missing persons puts a great deal more in perspective…”
The Closed For Winter online Forum is unique and possibly the first of its kind in Australia. It is devoted to a serious topic that affects 35 000 Australian families a year (AFP statistics), and includes links to support organizations. Two new clips are added weekly. See the film, then visit the Forum closedforwinter.wordpress.com
