Fresh from its rapturous reception at the Melbourne and Brisbane Film Festivals, Dendy Films is pleased to announce that Night has been selected to screen as part of the Visions program at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival.
From Lawrence Johnston, the award winning director of Eternity, Night is a stunning and cinematic big screen feature for all the family which celebrates the wondrous world at night like we’ve never seen before. Epic in scale and hauntingly beautiful, it takes the audience on an amazing journey through our lives and loves, hopes and fears about the night. It is a combination of beautiful and arresting imagery and stories woven against a lush and dramatic score.
Johnston and his producer, Lizzette Atkins (Circe Films) were delighted with the news that their film would be eligible for the Artistic Innovation Award. Now in its sixth year, the Visions program has become the Festival’s platform for the world’s finest directors to explore new territory in film.
‘It’s a honour,’ Johnston said. ‘To be selected to screen alongside films by major international filmmakers is incredibly humbling.’
Night will release in Australian cinemas in 2008.
