NT congratulates Double Trouble

[Press Release by NT Arts & Museums Minister’s desk ]

Arts Minister Marion Scrymgour congratulated CAAMA Productions for its AFI nomination for Double Trouble announced yesterday.

"It’s a wonderful feather in the cap for the Territory because it is a major nomination in the important category of ‘Best Children’s Drama’," Ms Scrymgour said.

"CAAMA deserves everyone’s congratulations for such a great achievement, especially in the difficult area of drama.

"We backed Double Trouble because it was a strong, locally-written story with great opportunities for local actors and crew.

"It’s a tribute to the continuing growth and strength of the small local film industry, which has been gathering an impressive array of national and international awards in recent years."

The Northern Territory Film Office contributed $243,000 in 2006 to the production of Double Trouble and it has been screening on Channel 9. It was co-produced with Disney.
