Press release from Frank PR
oovie, Australia’s largest DVD rental machine operator, this week announced the rental of its millionth movie from the growing number of oovie kiosks found across NSW and Victoria.
Couples Retreat was rented in Brighton, NSW marking a milestone in oovie’s first six months under Hoyts’ ownership.
Started in 2005, oovie is now the market leader in DVD rental machines, with over 130,000 customers across the country. With over 130 machines installed in supermarkets and shopping malls, oovie is fast becoming a household name for both cheap and convenient DVD rentals.
Ian O’Rourke, co-founder of oovie comments, “Reaching one million rentals is an exciting milestone for us – we’re experiencing a really great response from oovie users and we’re excited about our impending roll out of machines into the marketplace. Starting with Queensland next month, we are looking to expand into other territories as quickly as we can get the machines built and we’ve got some great activity planned for the forthcoming year for both new and existing customers. On behalf of the oovie team, thanks to all of our customers for their support.”
Renting a movie with oovie could not be easier. Once users have narrowed down their choice from 300 of the latest release movies, they simply select their desired movie, swipe their credit card and take it home to enjoy. Customers can rent from any oovie machine and return any to any of the other oovie machines, making the rental experience both easy and convenient. Customers can also reserve movies online at www.oovie.com.au <http://www.oovie.com.au/> as well as signing up for free oovie Wednesdays.
