Panasonic launches Ovation Channel through VIERA Connect platform

Panasonic today announced the introduction of Ovation Channel through its VIERA Connect platform available on selected Smart VIERA TVs[i]. Ovation is Australia's first dedicated arts and entertainment channel and has been providing discerning viewing for the Australian subscription television industry for 15 years.

The Ovation channel provides arts and entertainment programs to subscribers in classical and world music; literature; documentaries; up close and personal segments on the lives of artists and performers; performances of opera, dance, visual arts as well as premium pay-per-view events direct from around the globe.

Panasonic’s cloud-based VIERA Connect service allows almost an unlimited number of apps and ensures that the user always has the most up-to-date versions, without having to worry about upgrades. Ovation joins a host of other services including ABC iView, Yahoo!7's PLUS7, videos, music and interactive games as well as social networking sites Facebook and Twitter.

Subscription to Ovation is available monthly or quarterly and costs $10 for one month or $27 per quarter.
