Panasonic taps into easy remote camera control

PRESS RELEASE

Sydney, October 21, 2014: Panasonic Australia will launch the Control Assist Camera (AW-HEA10) in March 2015. This product enables quick and easy remote camera control, allowing the user to simply tap on the tablet screen where they want the camera to point.
The system speeds up long, remote camera movements and works in collaboration with joystick control, which can then be used to make small adjustments to the remote camera’s position.
Mathew Alexander, Product Marketing Manager–Broadcast, Panasonic Australia, explained: “The quick ‘tap’ technique will make our high quality AW-HE robotic cameras easy and intuitive to use by non-technical operators. Action won’t be missed by slow camera control and the IP image transmission function means that the user is free to roam with a tablet device, seeing areas out of view from the robotic cameras.”
Non-camera specialists can effectively control navigation with the system, opening up a variety of applications in conferencing and education. The easy operation reduces the need for specialist camera support, lowering costs and allowing more organisations to utilise a remote camera facility.
The AW-HEA10 Control Assist Camera will be available from specialist Panasonic Professional Video Resellers. Pricing will be announced closer to the release date.
