Panavision to merge Aus-NZ businesses

Panavision has announced that it plans to integrate its New Zealand and Australian camera and sales operations into a stronger regional Asia Pacific business unit.

Panavision anticipates that it will merge its inventory, sales and financial computer systems in the region to enhance inventory visibility and provide more effective customer service.

Martin Cayzer newly appointed as Panavision’s Managing Director for Asia Pacific camera and sales operations, will be leading a review of the New Zealand camera and sales groups over the next several weeks.

Cayzer has been with Panavision Australia for 12 years, with 27 years of experience working with Panavision’s global operations (and its predecessors Samuelson’s and Film Facilities) in London, Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney.

“We believe that with the new structure we can make changes, especially in our inventory management and distribution, which will lead to tangible benefits for our clients,” said Martin Cayzer. He added that “Our clients are increasingly moving between countries in the region to take advantage of tax incentives, locations and talent, and it is important we align our businesses so we can offer a consistent level of service.”

Peter Parnham, New Zealand’s Managing Director, was offered a senior executive role in the newly consolidated operation, but he has declined and resigned from the company for personal reasons.
