Popular Mexican director Down Under next month

CARLOS CARRERA one of Mexico’s best directors is coming out for the Hola Mexican Film Festival in November and while he is here will pay a special visit to Metro Screen.

On 05 November from 11am – 12.30pm Metro Screen will play host to Carlos as he gives a special presentation to Metro Screen students and members about his successful filmmaking career, which includes winning the Golden Palm, being nominated for an Oscar and directing the biggest selling film in Mexican history called ‘The Crime of Father Amaro.’

Carlos will also screen some of his work including his Palm d'Or winning short from Cannes ‘El Heroe’.

Carlos is in Australia for the Hola Mexican Film Festival to promote his new feature de la infancia / childhood which will screen on the evening of 05 Nov.
