Press release from QPIX
ABC's popular kids program Prank Patrol will start shooting their latest season in Brisbane this month and for the duration of the shoot they have entered into an exclusive internship arrangement for students of QPIX's Industry Diploma.
QPIX has also secured substantial government support for its' Industry Diploma with the Department of Education and Training (DET) heavily subsidising the course.
"The exceptional support from the Department of Education and Training means that the course fees for the Industry Diploma are significantly lower than comparable diplomas," said QPIX CEO Mr Kerry O' Rourke.
"This support from DET, combined with the opportunity for a selection of students to work on Prank Patrol, a leading children's television show, makes QPIX's Industry Diploma an incredible opportunity for aspiring film and TV makers," continued O'Rourke.
"The Industry Diploma is also compatible with full time work so finally there is an opportunity for driven people to achieve a Diploma whilst working full time in only 8 months," said O'Rourke.
In addition to the Prank Patrol placements QPIX will also provide its students with attachments to leading producers in Queensland.
"We're very proud to have achieved these industry attachments for our students because we strongly believe that aspiring film and TV makers need industry experience to achieve in such a challenging industry." said O'Rourke.
"That is why all QPIX courses are designed to be hands-on and industrially focused," concluded O'Rourke.
QPIX is currently accepting applications for their Industry Diploma. Successful applicants will be given a placement on Prank Patrol in early 2011.
