PumpTV expands network

Press release from Tsuki

PumpTV, Australia’s first digital petrol station TV network, has grown since its launch in October 2009 by signing up new network partners and leading brands as advertisers.

After the successful launch at Coles Express, PumpTV has announced its expansion of location partnerships to include United Petroleum, Caltex Independents and BP Independents in Sydney and Melbourne. This coincides with AMEX, Bingle Car Insurance, Cadbury and Chupa Chups confirming a March campaign to target PumpTV’s captive audiences at the petrol pumps.

Australia’s largest independent petrol chain United Petroleum, Caltex Independents (Mile Maker Petroleum) and BP Independents (Jasbe Petroleum) have welcomed the opportunity to join this new and fast growing advertising platform. This brings the number of screens across the network to over 380 and represents a measurable aggregate* of over one million consumers watching PumpTV across one calendar month for up to four minutes at a time.

“We are extremely pleased with the progress we have made in just four short months and look forward to continuing our aggressive roll-out campaign with network partners and with Channel 7 and Yahoo! 7 – our content partners. The fact that some of the leading brand names in the market are choosing to advertise on PumpTV is reiteration of the strength of what we offer – measurable outdoor advertising to a captive audience,” said David Parker, CEO of PumpTV

Advertisers have the choice of 15sec or 30sec TVCs or animated “wraps” that are displayed on a split screen alongside the news, sport and weather updates that are supplied by PumpTV’s exclusive content partner the Seven Network and Yahoo!7.

These new partnerships set the groundwork for PumpTV to achieve their target to roll out over 400 petrol stations with more than 4,800 TV screens nationally over the next 24 months.

* Measurement of audience numbers is achieved through an accumulation of transaction reports across all locations, reporting the number of people who bought petrol and therefore were exposed to the PumpTV screen.
