Palace Cinemas will host Richard Roxburgh and Sue Brooks for two exclusive special event screenings of their new film, LOOKING FOR GRACEon Monday 25th of January, the eve of its national Australia Day release.  There pair will introduce a screening at Palace Norton Street in Leichhardt and following a screening of the film at the Chauvel Cinema in Paddington, they will partake in a Q&A session moderated by cinema maven, Margaret Pomeranz.

Revered stage and screen actor Richard Roxburgh, whose credits include Rake,Moulin Rouge and The Turning and award-winning director Sue Brooks (Japanese Story, Road to Nhill) will join guests at Palace Norton Street in Leichhardt as they introduce the 7.15pm session of the film and then later at Palace Cinema Chauvel in Paddington for a Q&A discussion following the 6.30pm screening.

Fresh from its premiere as the only Australian film in Official Competition at the Venice and Toronto Film Festivals, LOOKING FOR GRACE stars Roxburgh, alongside Radha Mitchell and talented newcomer Odessa Young, in an intimate, funny and profoundly moving story about chance, fate and the complexities of family life.  Shot on location in Western Australia LOOKINGFOR GRACE boasts Brooks’ trademark sense of character, acerbic humour and eye for the hypnotic rhythms of Australia’s regional landscapes.

As well as his many acting credits, Roxburgh is also an accomplished director, and his debut feature Romulus, My Father drew critical acclaim when it was released in 2007.  Brooks has previously directed and co-produced the landmark feature Japanese Story, which screened as an Official Selection at the Cannes Film Festival, and won 8 AFI (now AACTA) awards including Best Picture and Best Director. Sue also directed the beloved Road to Nhill, which played in Australian cinemas for over nine months.
