After winning the Camera d’Or at Cannes on the weekend, Samson and Delilah climbed a further $125,000 in the three days to Wednesday on 16 screens.
This is a marked rise over last week’s take of $84,000 over the same period last week, when the film played on three fewer screens, according to MPDAA figures.
Mary and Max took a further $17,500 over the three days and crossed the $1.3 million mark, while Shadows of the Past is up to $18,000 with further regional locations to be added in coming weeks.
My Year Without Sex opens on 25 screens nationwide this weekend.
