The peak producers body has unveiled its new name, brand and website.
The trade body says the rebranding more accurately reflects its role as the leading professional organisation in Australia supporting film, television, interactive and games production businesses and its campaign for a healthy commercial industry.
Matthew Deaner, Executive Director of Screen Producers Australia, said: “On joining the organisation in November last year I wanted to ensure that we aligned our strategic priorities to our members’ business needs.
“We undertook extensive member and stakeholder research including a national industry roadshow, to ensure we had thorough insight into the changing needs of our industry and our membership.
“This research helped shape our strategic priorities to better support our members’ business interests, create commercial opportunities and to supply expertise to these businesses. The name change and rebrand accurately reflect this strategy and the evolution of who we have become, what our members do, and what we represent.”
SPA’s annual conference, Screen Forever, begins with a booze-up in Melbourne on Monday night.
