Sue Masters, one of Australia ’s most successful television producers, will join SBS as Supervising Executive Producer for Comedy and Drama.
Sue Masters has been Head of Drama at Network Ten since October 2000, and recently left to “explore new opportunities”.
Sue has been responsible for some of the most ground breaking, critically acclaimed Australian drama series as well as having vast international experience in both comedy and drama.
A multi-award winner, Sue has worked on acclaimed Australian drama series such as Brides of Christ, The Secret Life of Us, Wildside and Seachange.
She has also worked for US network HBO and produced a range of specials for comedy heavyweights including Robin Williams, Jay Leno, David Letterman and Steve Martin.
SBS Director of Content and Online, Matt Campbell, said Sue’s appointment was a coup for SBS.

Sue says of her move to SBS:

Sue will join SBS on 1 July 2008. In the interim she will act as a consultant on SBS’s second series of the critically acclaimed drama The Circuit and all comedy proposals will be handled by Denise Eriksen, Manager, Commissioned Content, SBS TV and Online.
