A new documentary accompaniment to the series adaptation of New Zealand author Heather Morris’ 2018 Holocaust novel 'The Tattooist of Auschwitz' is set to air on Stan in January.
A co-commission between Stan, Sky and Peacock, 'The Tattooist of Auschwitz' is a six-part drama that stars Jonah Hauer-King as Lale Sokolov, a Jewish prisoner who is given the job of tattooing identification numbers on fellow prisoners’ arms in the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp during World War Two.
British actress Charithra Chandran ('Bridgerton', 'Alex Rider') is attached to lead Synchronicity Films and Photoplay Films' TV series 'Song of the Sun God', currently in development with distributor Cineflix Rights.
Nearly 30 projects will share in $975,000 of story development funding from Screen Australia, including a television series inspired by the 1999 film 'Two Hands' from director Gregor Jordan, and a family feature film from the producers of 'Bluey'.
After their first collaboration on the SBS/Matchbox Pictures psychological thriller 'Safe Harbour' Ewen Leslie and director Glendyn Ivin are teaming up again for 'The Cry'.
