THE CROSSING is a feature documentary following two young Australians, Clark Carter and Chris Bray, as they set off on the adventure of a lifetime.

Their story is equal parts rock n’ roll and youthful exuberance as Chris and Clark attempted to drag their home-made kayaks more than one thousand kilometres across a remote island in the Arctic.

Battling freezing temperatures, knee-deep mud, razor-sharp rocks, wolves and hungry polar bears finally they were forced to admit the dream was over. After 58 days in the wilderness, they had only covered a third of the distance.

Unable and to let go of the dream, three years later they returned with a re-designed, custom built cart to carry the 500 kilograms of food and equipment needed to survive 100 days in the Artic. After a positive start the adventure takes some interesting twists – the duo soon realise that the island won’t let them cross without a fight.

Edited from over 100 hours of stunning, high definition footage, THE CROSSING is an insight into the minds of two young, head-strong adventurers who just may have bitten off more than they can chew.

Their incredible journey is an antidote to our world of instant gratification. Living the dream is not impossible, but sometimes there ain’t no easy way!
