RealFlow is the world’s best fluids and dynamics simulation tool. The groundbreaking particle-based technology can be used to simulate fluids, water surfaces, fluid-solid interactions, rigid bodies, soft bodies and meshes. The elements of the simulation use physical properties to control their behavior and can interact with each other and react to impulses, forces and accelerations, to produce stunningly realistic results.
RealFlow has been used for the production of spectacular effects in a number of highly successful movies, including The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, and Sweeney Todd, to name but a few. If you’d like to see examples of RealFlow in production, please see the Case Studies on our website: http://www.realflow.com/n_casestudies.htm
It has also been used to produce effects for countless commercials and television productions worldwide. In 2007, the founders of Next Limit Technologies, Victor Gonzalez and Ignacio Vargas, and lead RealFlow programmer Angel Tena, were all awarded Technical Achievement Award® from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for the creation of RealFlow™, recognizing the significant contribution RealFlow™ has made to the simulation of fluids in motion picture visual effects.
RealFlow 4 is a standalone application, works in 32 and 64 bits. It is fully functional on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, is OpenGL compliant, and works with 3DStudio MAX, Maya, LightWave, XSI, Cinema 4D and Houdini.
To facilitate the complex task of rendering RealFlow™ fluids, Next Limit has also added the RealFlow Renderkit to our product line. The RFRK enables you to generate procedural geometry at render time, and also render individual fluid particles. As a result, the RFRK will dramatically simplify and accelerate your RealFlow™ workflow.
