IF has 10 double passes to writer-director Ben Elton’s Three Summers to giveaway, courtesy of Transmission Films.
The comedy, set over three summers at a regional music festival in Western Australia, follows the awkward romance between a feisty lead singer of an Irish folk band (Rebecca Breeds) and a folk music-hating Theremin player (Robert Sheehan).
The film also traces the stories of a fiercely Aussie Morris Dancer, an Indigenous dance troupe, a group of wine-loving empty nesters, a power tripping security guard, a wannabe girl rock band and some musical asylum seekers.
The ensemble cast includes Magda Szubanski, Michael Caton, Kelton Pell, Deborah Mailman, John Waters, Kate Box, Jacqueline McKenzie, Peter Rowsthorn and The Bondi Hipsters’ Christiaan Van Vuuren and Nick Boshier.
