Elliot Rocke Mudfest, the Mudgee International Short Film Festival
(lovingly known as Mudfest) has just announced the finalists for 2008.

– Don’t Panic (Australia)
– About The Promise (India)
– Before & After Kissing Maria (Spain)
– Not Gods Will (Portugal)
– Blondie (Holland)
Once again, over 500 entries from 30 different countries were received
and this is reflected in the strong international line up of films
being shown at this years festival, along with 4 films from Australia.
Co-founder of Mudfest, Peter Scott commented, ‘One of the great things
about Mudfest is that we get the best short films from around the world
which exposes the audience to a real roller coaster ride of styles,
genres and cultural viewpoints’, he went on to add ‘It also raises the
quality level of the entries as the local Australian filmmakers are
putting their work up against the international competition, so the
standard for Elliot Rocke Mudfest 2008 is once again high.’
The 2008 Elliot Rocke Mudfest is scheduled for screening on March 15,
2008 at the Elliot Rocke Estate Cellar Door Mudgee in the Central
Ranges of NSW. Visitors can relax on the lawns with a picnic rug under
the stars and sample some of the excellent Elliot Rocke Estate wines.
Peter Scott commented, ‘It’s a great film experience sitting under the
stars amongst the vines whilst taking in the movies on the big outdoor
screen and even if the weather is not ideal we simply move the event
indoors to the heritage listed Regent Theatre, so it goes ahead rain,
hail or moonlight!’
Tickets to the 2008 event are also now on-sale and remain unchanged at
$25 per head including a complimentary glass of wine on arrival.
