Tim Brooke-Hunt new Executive Head of Children’s for ABC TV

Tim Brooke-Hunt, one of Australia’s leading producers of children’s television content has today been appointed ABC TV’s newly created Executive Head of Children’s.
Brooke-Hunt, who will take up his position on September 12 has produced some of Australia’s most loved children’s programming including Blinky Bill, Yakkity Yak, Old Tom and L’il Horrors.
He has worked with leading Australian production companies including Yoram Gross, Beyond International, New World Pictures and Burbank Films, and recently as an independent children’s TV producer/ executive producer.

Children’s television is core to the ABC’s operations and Tim will bring a passionate commitment to diverse and quality production and programming. Serving on the Screen Producers Association of Australia Council from 2005, he has been actively involved in the formulation of SPAA Policy for the Producer Rebate, the review of C-Drama regulations and other important issues facing Children’s producers.
His background also includes a Master of Business Administration and he has substantial knowledge of financing production from both local and international sources and working within creative partnerships.
