DAVE.TV? CEO confirmed as key note speaker

SPAA has confirmed that Rex Wong, CEO of DAVE.TV™ (Distributed Audio Video Entertainment) will be a keynote speaker at the annual Conference being held 13 to 16 November at the Sheraton Mirage Resort on Queensland’s Gold Coast. He will speak on industry forecasts and future technologies on Thursday, 15 November at 9am.

Before joining DAVE.TV™ in December 2005, Wong was responsible for co-founding several technology companies including Applied Semantics, the developer of AdSense which was acquired by Google in 2003, Acclertech, manufacturer of high density server platforms where he served as President, and XC2, a digital lifestyle consumer electronics manufacturer.

DAVE.TV™ is the first cross-platform digital delivery network that delivers IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) and video over IP to TVs, PCs, portable and mobile devices.  DAVE.TV develops IPTV platforms for service providers such as Telcos, CLECS, MSOs and ISPs.

The growing Interactive Television (ITV) space reveals a new demand for the convergence of interactive technology and television in which the user experience is enhanced through increased control over program content, enabling the viewer to immediately respond or alter programming. Video-on-demand (VOD), interactive news and educational programming, niche or local oi9fe event streaming video, and more are possibilities in the ITV experience. DAVE.TV™ is at the forefront of this development with its IPTV/ITV set-top box platforms.
