TUGG Australia is rolling out documentary Code: Debugging the Gender Gap, highlighting gender inequality in the IT industry.
Tech jobs are growing three times faster than American colleges are producing computer science graduates. By 2020, there will be one million unfilled software engineering jobs in the USA.
Code examines why more girls and people of color are not seeking opportunities in computer science and explores how cultural mindsets, stereotypes, educational hurdles and sexism all play roles in this national crisis.
The film, directed by Robin Hauser Reynolds, premiered at last year's Tribeca Film Festival.
The documentary is now playing nationally in Australian cinemas via TUGG.
