In its biggest ever move and commitment to future growth Videocraft today announced that it had more than doubled the size of its Sydney-based operation and hired five new staff.
The company, which has enjoyed considerable success in recent times despite a tough market, has taken over the adjoining building to its existing Sydney offices in Artarmon which will more than double the space available to its ever-expanding organization upon its scheduled completion in December 2011.
Videocraft Sales Director James Taylor said, “We made the decision to expand into the building next door after experiencing continued growth year on year for the last few years and the fact that we are doing larger scale projects and more in new media and systems integration than ever before.”
As a result of the expansion Videocraft’s Sydney offices will be redesigned and refitted to include designated sales, rental, IT, marketing and training departments in addition to a larger and more fully equipped showroom.
Videocraft NSW State Manager Andy Liell added, “This is a very exciting and significant move for Videocraft. The decision to expand was also based on feedback from our clients as to how we could best suit their future requirements in a market that is seeing more projects that require integrated new media platforms, IT and IP file-based solutions. With our new building and facilities any Videocraft client can rest assured that not only will they have the widest product selection available but they can also have their workflow designed, tested and fully customised in house. When the product set and workflow have been agreed we can also provide full, tailored service, support and training. It really is the most comprehensive set of services we have ever offered, all under one roof.”
Videocraft’s new building is scheduled for completion in December 2011 and the company will be having an official opening with select guests invited from the industry to mark the occasion.
Videocraft have also made five new hires boosting the staff in their Sydney and Canberra offices.
In Sydney the company has recruited ex-customer service executive Alison Van Der Kar as their new receptionist and Rebecca Oldroyd as their new Sales and Support Coordinator. Oldroyd brings with her significant sales, administration, procurement and support experience from several large industry organisations.
Also recruited for the Sydney office are Adam Langham as Junior Broadcast Engineer and Glen Beaumont in the role of Systems Technician. Langham comes to Videocraft to help support the rentals department as a graduate of North Sydney TAFE’s Technical Operations Course and having worked at both Sky Channel and Silk Studios where he was Operations Manager. Beaumont brings with him a background in broadcast installations and web design and will also take on a support role within the rentals department with particular emphasis on providing studio and post production system solutions.
In Canberra industry veteran Chris Webster has been brought in to head up the company’s sales and new business efforts.
Andy Liell concluded, “We have become far more of a systems integrator and solution provider than a box seller in recent years and this trend is continuing. Hiring the five new members for our team also means we can continue to offer the highest quality service possible at the most competitive prices.”
