Four emerging filmmaker teams are the latest recipients of grants under the New South Wales Film and Television Office’s Young Filmmakers Fund.

Three shorts dramas and one short animation have received grants.

The animation project Zero (Producer Christine Kezelos. Writer/Director Christopher Kezelos,  Animator David Cox) is about Zero, born into a world where the inhabitants are marked with a number that determines their value in society.

Since the inception of the Young Filmmakers Fund in 1995, the FTO has funded an exceptional range of 111 projects including short dramas, documentaries, animation and experimental films. Many have been acclaimed both nationally and internationally and have launched the successful careers of several NSW filmmakers.

Applicants from western Sydney and regional New South Wales are being sought for the next round of the program.  Applications close April 14, 2008.
