Boom Beefs Up

Sydney, 1 May 2014 – Boom today announced six new appointments across Boom Video, its video seeding and influencer network division and Boom Natives, its content creation and social agency division.

Boom Video will add four new team members to its team, who now exclusively represent over 1100 influencers on all of the major social networks. They have a total global audience reach of 7.5 million YouTube subscribers, 3 million Facebook fans, 5 million Twitter followers, 3 million Instagram followers, 2.5 million Pinterest followers and 5 million Google+ friends.

Joining as community manager is Mustafa Ebrahimi. Ebrahimi, who himself commands a social following of over 25,000 fans to his social media channels, will be responsible for supporting influencersin the entertainment and sports category. He will work alongside other community managers in categories such Lifestyle, Beauty & Fashion, Comedy & Vloggers, Automotive & Business, Technology & Gaming and Entertainment & Sports.

Boom Video has also appointed two new sales executives – Aley Greenblo, a qualified lawyer and successful fashion blogger with over 110,000 followers to her social media channels, and Sasha Kouvchinov who joins the team from MBA Mediacom where he worked across clients including the NSW Government, EA Games and P&C.

Ashwin Ravi makes up the final appointment for Boom Video, who joins as business development manager from Emerge Digital Group, where he worked across clients including Reader’s Digest and Ticketmaster. Before Emerge Digital, Ravi was an integral part of the team who launched Australia's first South Asian online and TV Media company "Desi Kangaroos TV".

Boom Natives – which launched in August last year and has already delivered projects for Microsoft, KFC, Optus Rockcorps and Daikin – has also appointed two new team members.

Jo Thompson joins as business development manager. Thompson previously held marketing positions at Groupon, Fairfax Media and DMG Radio and has worked with clients such as Mercedes-Benz, Ralph Lauren, Saba and Peters of Kensington. She will be tasked with taking Boom Native’s influencers, content production, original IP and social management capabilities out to both agencies and clients.

Alex Budge joins Boom Natives as Digital Producer. Previously based in London, Alex joins from social talent agency Gleam and previously worked at Ogilvy PR. Budge has social media experience specialising across a wide selection of clients in the UK, including Asda, Chanel, Microsoft, Red Bull Media House, Land Rover, British Airways, and Diageo.
