Flying Bark to get new owners

Australian animation studio, Flying Bark Productions’ parent company, EM Entertainment is being bid for by Indian media conglomerate, Zee Group.

India’s The Economic Times reported on Friday (May 2), that the Subash Chandra-led group is "believed to have put in a bid for acquiring the German broadcaster EM Sport Media AG’s entertainment division."

Apparently EM Sport Media AG’s entertainment division, which is currently on auction, is estimated to be worth US$100 million, including its debts.

EM Sport Media AG comprises EM Entertainment, Junior TV and Australian animation studio Flying Bark Productions (formerly Yoram Gross-EM.TV), which EM Entertainment fully acquired in 2006.

Flying Bark Productions is internationally recognised as Australia’s leading producer of quality children’s and family entertainment. The company is known for Blinky Bill, Dot And The Kangaroo and Flipper And Lopaka.
