National Youth Week is the recognition of Australia’s youth and to acknowledge Queensland’s Youth, five Award winning young Filmmakers from last year’s Young Filmmakers Festival Queensland 2007 will be making a documentary on a Youth Perspective on National Youth Week.
This is a Young Filmmakers Festival Queensland initiative that is supported by the Department of Communities.
The Young Filmmakers will search through the varying events that will be taking place during National Youth Week to find stories about youth and youth issues. This will be a documentary that is created and told by youth for youth.
Simon La Rosa Co-Founder/ Producer Young Filmmakers Festival Queensland, ‘I am very proud of how these young Filmmakers are so enthusiastic to want to go out there and help other young people share their stories to a wider audience. These are five very talented storytellers’.
The Documentary will premiere at the Young Filmmakers Festival Queensland 2008 on 27 September 2008 at QUT’s Creative Industries Precinct, Kelvin Grove.
