AFTRS OPEN DAYS 2013 September 7, 8

AFTRS, Australia's national screen arts and broadcast School, will hold its 2013 Open Days on Saturday September 7 and Sunday September 8.

Across the weekend, AFTRS’ five studios will hold back-to-back one-hour sessions with demonstrations and presentations from top industry professionals across all AFTRS course subjects.

Amongst the sessions are directing, cinematography, screen design, stop animation, sound recording and mixing, radio broadcasting, costume design and editing. Other sessions will cover pitching a project, the skills of screenwriting and how to prepare an AFTRS application.

AFTRS was recently named as one of the top 20 film schools in the world by The Hollywood Reporter. “For anyone considering a career in the screen or broadcast industries, the Open Days offer an incredible opportunity to meet AFTRS lecturers and teachers and discover more about what can be studied at the school,” says AFTRS CEO Sandra Levy.

“A career in the screen and broadcast industries means a life where no day is the same. The industries are driven by passion and excitement and prospective students will get a real taste of that across the Open Days. The school will be humming with activity.”
