The production company behind Cleverman, The Sapphires and Holding the Man, Goalpost Pictures, has signed a first look programming deal with distributor All3Media International for its forthcoming TV slate.
Goalpost partners and producers Rosemary Blight and Kylie du Fresne said: “With a growing international appetite for quality television, Goalpost is thrilled to partner with one of the world’s best content producers and distributors, all3media international, to develop a slate of distinctive and original stories that will resonate with audiences around the world.”
All3Media International’s EVP content Maartje Horchner called Blight and du Fresne “absolute trailblazers for their craft” who are creating high end Australian drama with international appeal.
Goalpost’s latest TV drama, Fighting Season, is due to air on Foxtel later this year. Starring Ewen Leslie, Jay Ryan, George Pullar, Marco Alosio, Julian Maroun, Paul De Gelder and Kate Mulvany, the six-parter follows Australian soldiers who return from Afghanistan suffering from PTSD. The company is also gearing up to shoot feature Top End Wedding, directed by Wayne Blair and written by Miranda Tapsell (who also stars) and Joshua Tyler.
