Andrew Cook will join SBS as the new Director, Media Sales commencing in March 2012.
Responsible for connecting SBS’s advertising partners with a premium audience across television, radio and online, Cook comes to the role having spent 10 years at ACP Magazines and 13 years in sales management roles encompassing newspapers, magazines and online.
SBS Chief Operating Officer Richard Finlayson said: “Andrew is well placed to lead the SBS sales strategy in 2012 and beyond, backed by an incredibly passionate and capable team.
“Andrew’s experience in working with niche verticals in a market where creativity and integration are the currency, will be invaluable as we shape SBS's sales strategy. He understands SBS’s cross-platform capabilities and our ability to connect partners with our premium audience.
“Andrew joins Adam Sadler, Jemma Enright, Sam Harris, Christiaan Rutten, Julie Newton-Werro and Michael Smith as part of SBS’s senior sales management team who are poised to build on SBS’s sales brand.”
Other recent moves in the SBS Sales team include the appointment of Anthony Mogensen as NSW Sales Manager. National Sales Manager Adam Sadler was also appointed to his role in November while Jemma Enright expanded her role to become National Manager, Client Solutions and Trade Strategy.
Cook replaces Mark Fairhurst who left SBS in November. Cook will report to Richard Finlayson.
